Settling into the house

This has been a crazy week for us. Last weekend we were able to move into our house, which was exciting and exhausting. We were working to settle in when we heard the news that my sweet little Nana passed away. She'd survived two major strokes in the last 8 years but had another one two weeks ago that was unbeatable. We flew to New York this weekend to say goodbye. At 89 years old she had a cell phone, watched movies off Netflix, loved email and the internet, and was a big fan of this 'blob', as she called it. Here's a picture of her last trip out west, to our wedding. I'm going to miss her.

Although we're surrounded by boxes, the house is starting to feel like ours as we slowly unpack. Our dishes are in the cabinets.

Scott has put the oven together so I've made tacos, frozen pizzas, etc. Now that we have a fancy kitchen I need to learn to cook! The mosaic tile backsplash was Scott's idea and I think it looks fantastic.

There are boxes everywhere!

It's so nice to be moved into the master bedroom.

I thought that Scott was going to kill me when 24 HEAVY boxes showed up on our doorstep for the master closet. Scott and my dad spent hours putting it together, but it looks amazing. Of course, now I want all new clothes...
