Oliver, at the base of Rainier Express. It looks like June!
Even though the season hasn't been great, we've still enjoyed lovely sunny days.
Okay, on to our Colorado adventure. We took a bunch of our Seattle ski crew and dragged them to Crested Butte to meet our Colorado ski crew. The flight from Denver to Gunnison can be a bumpy one. We took up most of the tiny plane!
We rented a great house on the mountain with room for our friends from both areas, and it was so fun to get everyone together! The Heads Up app was a big hit, modeled by Alicia.
Kelly and Mike from the Seattle crew. Although Kelly lived in Crested Butte for a little while, so maybe she's from the Colorado crew?Be and Michelle, from the Colorado crew. Although Ben went to school with me in Seattle. It's all intertwined!
Dusty and Annie, from the Colorado crew. Dusty was Scotty's roommate in college.
Katie and I. Katie also lived in Crested Butte for a season! We were having such a lovely time inside that this little critter wanted to join. He hung out near the front door for more than an hour.
Playing some serious games.
Such a fun crew!
Oh yes, we went skiing too. I had so much fun back in the place where I met this one.
The whole Seattle crew with Crested Butte's mascots, Bubba and Betty.
After two days of sunny skies and great groomers, we received a foot of snow!
Celebrating a great day of skiing with an Avalanche Painkiller. Yum!
Bumming around town with the ladies: Alicia, Katie, Kelly, Kim, and me!
Annie with cutie Ruke.
The view from our house. Not too shabby!
Most of the crew hopped on a plane and headed home, but the Van Attas took us up on an extra day to ski at Monarch and hang out with the Swanteks. Proof that there really is a run called Shagnasty!
