Building the walls

I can finally create a post with some construction instead of destruction. But first, they had to tear the 'face' off of our house. So sad.
Apparently a house built in 1923 isn't level, so they are going to have to rebuild the front of the house. It's our first unexpected expense. Isn't construction exciting?

The contractor has started to build the walls on the first floor. You are looking at the living room and stairs area from the back of the kitchen nook.

More walls!

UPDATE: We're starting to get a face again!
There's boards everywhere. It's mission impossible to walk around.
This is Javier, our foreman, working to make the second story level. I'm picturing the leaning tower of Pisa, but Scott assures me that it will be perfect.
