Aguas Calientas

Aguas Calientas is a funny little town 10 minutes away from Machu Picchu, where the sole purpose is to provide an entry point into the amazing site. It's not a very pretty place, but the market area is quite colorful.
Resting before dinner.
I'm guessing this cheesy statue with fiber optic lights is a product of the 1990's.
Oh! But there are lots of places to serve a well deserved Pisco Sour (tastes similar to a margarita) after a day of hiking. Delicious!
While waiting for the train home, we happened upon some sort of festival/parade.
These solemn women had confetti in their hair, making for an interesting contrast.
A statue of Mary perhaps?

Yeah, I don't know. But when in Peru, right?
Just don't take my Pisco Sour!
