Udaipur to Jodhpur

I thought today would be quiet on the photography front as we traveled from Udaipur to Jodhpur, an approximately six hour drive. I was wrong-we drove through the jungle, saw monkeys, and passed small towns full of vibrant people. We saw farmers and shepherds. Cows hang out in the road even on highways.

We also visited the Ranakpur Jain temple. In India, 80% of the population is Hindu, 15% is Muslim, and the rest are Christian, Buddhist, etc. Less than 1% of the population is Jain which practices non violence towards all beings including animals. They are strict vegetarians. The temple we visited today was built in the 15th century after a local worshiper had a divine intervention. The whole structure is made of marble and the architecture and carvings were unbelievable.
